FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (PIX11) -- A Florida dad is calling out parents who humiliate their misbehaving children online in a video that’s garnered millions of views and sparked a conversation about how to best discipline kids.
At first, Wayman Greshman leads the viewer to believe he’s about to give his son a “bald-head messed-up haircut ... because I’m not happy with him.”
He yells at his son to sit up, but instead of putting a razor to his head, he hugs the boy.
“There’s no way in the world I would ever embarrass my son like that,” he said. “It doesn’t take all of that. Good parenting starts before he even gets to the point of being out of control.”
The video has been watched more than 18.3 million times as of 10 a.m. Monday and garnered thousands of comments, many of which praise Greshman’s parenting and his critique of embarrassing children online.
Last month, a video made the rounds showing a mother publicly shaming her daughter for pretending to be older in her online profiles and posting suggestive photos.
