WILLIAMSBURG, Brooklyn -- Police are asking for the public’s help to track down a couple who drove through a McDonald’s parking lot in Brooklyn, grabbed a pedestrian’s bag then dragged her along the pavement as they escaped.

It happened about 2:44 p.m. May 25 in the lot outside McDonald’s located at 700 Broadway in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn.

The driver of a black two-door Scion drove alongside a 59-year-old woman and the passenger grabbed her purse, dragging the woman as the car made its escape, police said.

The woman suffered a deep cut on the side of her face and bruising and swelling to her entire face and head, police said.

Police are looking for two people who were in that car -- a black male and a black female. Anyone with information is urged to call NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
