Recipes: Add new flavors to your summer BBQ favorites

(PIX11) -- Nicole Young, of, shares these ways to add new flavors to your summer barbecue favorites.  Check out her tips and recipes below.    All decor provided by Party City.

Tip 1: Crank up your condiments

Hot Orange Ketchup

  • 6 oz can tomato paste
  • 2 oz honey
  • 3 oz orange juice
  • ‎3 oz water
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1 tbsp chilli paste
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder

Combine ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat and whisk until smooth. Once mixture comes to a boil, reduce heat to low and let simmer for 20 mins. Remove from heat, cover til cool then refrigerate. Serve chilled


Tip 2: Shake up your sweet treats
Traditional ice cream flavors are great but cocktail flavored ice cream is so much better.  Try mini milkshakes and ice cream sundaes made with Tipsy scoop liquor infused ice cream.

Tip 3: Spice up spiked lemonades
Transform your lemonade recipes from same old to sensational with Cucumber Ginger Lemonade and Honey Bourbon Lemonade.

Spiced Cucumber Lemonade

  • Punzone Organic Vodka‎
  • ‎Powell and Mahoney Old Ballycastle ginger mix
  • Powell and Mahoney Jalapeño margarita mix
  • Fresh lemon juice
  • Part ‎cucumber syrup
  • Chilled lemon lime seltzer
  • Cucumber and lemon slices

Combine wet ingredients in a pitcher and stir gently. Add cucumber and lemon slices. Pour over ice.

Honey Bourbon Lemonade

  • 1 part Four Roses Yellow Label Bourbon
  • 1 part fresh lemon juice
  • 2 parts honey syrup
  • Torn mint leaves
  • Lemon slices
  • Orange slices
  • Club soda

‎Combine wet ingredients in a pitcher and stir. Add mint and fruit slices. Pour over ice.
