JACKSON HEIGHTS, Queens (PIX11) — A quick-thinking subway rider snapped a crystal clear photo of a man who groped her on a 7 train as it traveled through Queens, giving police and the public the perfect clue to help track down her suspected attacker.

It happened about 3:30 p.m. Saturday on a southbound 7 train near the 74 St-Broadway station, police said. A 23-year-old woman was on train when someone grabbed her buttocks.

The young woman whipped out her phone and snapped a clear, up-close picture of the groper, who then ran from the train, police said.

Investigators are looking for a Hispanic male in his mid-20s, about 5 feet 5 inches tall and 180 pounds.

Anyone with information is urged to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
