GARDEN CITY, Long Island (PIX11) -- An apparent prank prompted a police investigation and an evacuation of a Long Island office building Tuesday afternoon.

Garden City Police received a call at 2:15 p.m. of a person threatening bodily harm to somebody on the fifth floor of 200 Garden City Plaza, in the law firm of Goldberg Segalla. Local police alerted Nassau County Police.

Authorities evacuated hundreds of office workers, and SWAT teams completed a room-to-room search of the five-story building, finding nothing amiss. Officers workers were given the all-clear to come back in.

Officials are not calling it a "swatting," where a false call about an emergency is made to a private home, prompting an emergency response.
