BOERUM HILL, N.Y. (PIX11) — Police are looking for a 44-year-old Brooklyn woman after she failed to return her 7-year-old daughter to the girl’s father.

Authorities believe the mother, Ulrike Berger, took Kaia Berger to Germany in late March, which is a violation of a court order that prohibits her from leaving the country with the child.

Berger’s father last dropped off his daughter March 21 at her mother’s house, which is in the Boerum Hill section of Brooklyn, police said. The next day, Berger allegedly took the girl out of the country.

The mother had agreed to return the child to her father at a scheduled date, police said.
