(PIX11) — New England Patriots fans nearly had a heart attack when they saw their beloved quarterback posted a video of himself jumping off a cliff.
Tom Brady posted a clip to his Facebook page Saturday with the caption, “Never doing that again! #AirBrady.”
The video begins with the 37-year-old Super Bowl MVP sitting atop a rock with his sons, the sound of water rushing below. An accented voice, presumably of his supermodel wife, Gisele Bündchen, asks, “Are you gonna jump off?”
“Ready?” Bündchen continues before complimenting her husband’s strong legs. “Now!”
Brady looks nervous before taking a few big breaths and finally taking the plunge. The jump, accompanied by the score of Superman, plays out in slow motion.
The clip ends with a shot of Brady bobbing up and down in the water–safely and unharmed.
But that didn’t stop Patriots all over the world from proceeding to lose their minds, and the collective comments became a treasure trove of gifs, gasps and cautionary advice from concerned fans.
“Jesus man! Every Pats fan just fainted watching that,” one fan wrote.
“The best QB in the history of the NFL needs to be tucked away safely in a padded room. No more of that, TB12!” another wrote.
“Can’t you wait until after you retire to do crazy things like this? Please?” wrote another.
Brady is the only quarterback to lead his team to six Super Bowl and holds the record for most Super Bowl touchdown passes. His net worth is reportedly $120 million.
