HICKSVILLE, N.Y. (PIX11) — A music teacher was arrested at a Long Island school on suspicion of molesting two students over a three-year period, police said Friday.

Kenton Burt, 62, is accused of sexually abusing two girls “on numerous occasions” between the ages of 9 and 14 during private lessons, police said. He worked as a music teacher at the Burt Music School, located at 382 Newbridge Road.

The alleged abuse happened between January 2012 and March 2015, investigators said.

A resident of Kent, Conn., Burt was taken into custody 4:20 p.m. Thursday at the school, police said. He faces two counts of first-degree sexual abuse and is scheduled to be arraigned Friday.
