SETAUKET, Long Island (PIX11) — Skeletal remains were found over the weekend along a hiking and bike trail on Long Island, police said Monday.
The Suffolk County Medical Examiner is working to identify the remains, which were reported by an anonymous caller at about 4 p.m. Sunday along a trail that starts at Gnarled Hollow Road, police said.
Further details about the remains, including gender, were not immediately available. Police would only say that the remains are human.
