NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Just after the MTA increased fares, commuters will have to deal with some major changes on the 'L' line for weeks to come.

Starting at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, 'L' trains will not run between 8 Av. and Lorimer St. from 11:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. This change will be in effect for 9 weeks. The MTA says this is not Sandy related work.
