MANHATTAN (PIX11) — A 16-year-old student was arrested Friday after being found in possession of a loaded gun inside a Manhattan high school.

According to authorities, NYPD School Safety Agent Michele Pitre saw Matthew K. Dallas-Fields, a student at the Environmental High School on West 56th Street, take the hand of a female student and place it on his waistband. The girl quickly pulled her hand away. SSA Pitre, along with her partner SSA Winston Bruno and Supervisor SSA Level III Troy Wilson, found Dallas-Fields and took him to a secure area of the school.

Dallas-Fields was found with a loaded .32 caliber revolver in his waistband. He was arrested and has been charged with criminal possession of a loaded firearm on school grounds.
