BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A car slammed into a building in the Bronx Friday, sending two people -- one of them a teenager -- to the hospital, authorities said.

It happened about 8:30 a.m. near east 163rd Street and Southern Boulevard in the Bronx, EMS officials said.

A teen and a man in his 30s were rushed to a hospital, EMS said. The boy was described as being in serious condition; the man suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Aerial footage from the scene showed what appeared to be a U-Haul van and a car resting on the sidewalk in front of a beauty salon.

Further details about the crash were not immediately available.
