PHOENIX (AP) — A court in Phoenix says the jury in the Jodi Arias case has reached a verdict on whether the convicted murderer should be sentenced to life in prison or death for killing her lover nearly seven years ago.

Maricopa County Superior Court says the decision will be read at 9:30 a.m. MST.

Jurors deliberated for five days. Earlier this week, Arias’ attorneys said jurors were at an impasse, but the judge denied a mistrial request.

Arias was convicted of murder in 2013 after a lengthy trial that became a sensation with its tawdry revelations about her relationship with victim Travis Alexander.

That jury deadlocked on her punishment, prompting the sentencing retrial that began in October.
