Emotionally disturbed man found in cockpit of plane at JFK

QUEENS (PIX11) — An emotionally disturbed man was apprehended by authorities after being found in the cockpit of a JetBlue plane at John F. Kennedy Airport Tuesday morning.

JetBlue confirms to PIX11 that the man was forcibly removed from the plane by authorities. An airport source says the man arrived on Flight 810 from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. As the flight crew was assisting an unaccompanied minor off the plane, the man jumped into the First Officer’s seat in the cockpit.

The man claimed others on the flight wanted to beat him up. The man was taken to Jamaica Hospital.
