NEW YORK (PIX11)– A recent survey found that New York mothers and fathers say the tooth fairy is the most generous in the Big Apple.

Children in New York on average receive $13.25 per tooth, followed by Los Angeles ($9.69), Chicago ($5.85), Dallas/Houston ($5.28) and Boston ($5.02), according to a survey conducted by oral health company Sunstar Gum.

They interviewed 1,000 families across those aforementioned cities.
