HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (PIX11) — A middle school teacher is accused of having sex with one of her students at school.

Megan Connors, 30, had sex “multiple times’’ with a 15-year-old boy, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

Connors, of 947 Wicketrun Drive in Brandon, faces seven counts of sexual battery, along with a charge of lewd and lascivious battery and lewd conduct.

The Tampa Tribune reports that Connors and the teen began in January, then quickly progressed to kissing and Connors allowing the boy to fondle her. Eventually, they began having sex at school during school hours, the sheriff’s office said.

Investigators said Connors would have the boy removed from other classes and the two would meet for sex in a room selected by Connors. The two even reportedly left the school in her vehicle, then went to his house and had sex in his bedroom.

There is no word on if other students are involved.

School district spokesman Stephen Hegarty said Connors had begun teaching at Turkey Creek Middle in August. He said the school district pulled her from the classroom about a week ago after school officials began to suspect there might be inappropriate conduct.

Officials said the teacher will be fired from her job at Turkey Creek Middle School in Plant City, Fla. and may lose her teaching license.

“She had nothing in her background that would suggest anything like this. You know it’s shocking and it’s disappointing.” said Steve Hegarty.
