WEST NYACK, N.Y. (PIX11) — A New Jersey man was arrested after jumping off the second floor of the Palisades Center Mall on a “dare” Sunday afternoon, according to police.
Authorities say 21-year-old Nicholas Diblasi of Park Ridge was found sitting on the floor near Macy’s, dazed and seemingly intoxicated at about 12:30 p.m.
Diblasi told cops at the scene that he jumped over the second floor railing, which is approximately a 20-foot drop, on a dare because a friend doubted he would do it.
The daredevil was taken to Nyack Hospital and treated for a minor leg injury.
Diblasi has been charged with reckless endangerment, as he jumped into a “well-trafficked” pedestrian area.
