Two men injured after car crash in Ramapo: police

RAMAPO, New York (PIX11) – Two men sustained injuries after the car they were in struck two trees in Chestnut Ridge on Wednesday.

Frank Squilla, 20, of Stony Point was driving eastbound on Scotland Hill Road around 3:37 a.m. Jake Demarsico, 19, of Thiells was also in the vehicle, according to the Ramapo Police Accident Investigation Unit.

The 2013 Hyundai Elantra traveled through the intersection of Scotland Road and Scotland Hill Road. It struck two trees on the front lawn of a residence.

Squilla sustained numerous injuries and was listed in critical condition at Good Samaritan Hospital. Demarisco was treated and released with minor injuries.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. No summonses have been issued at this time.
