MILLINGTON, Tenn. (PIX11) — A Tennessee man was arrested after getting into a violent argument with his three months pregnant girlfriend.

Jeremiah Taylor, 25, allegedly hit the woman in the face and chest with steaks after they got into an argument Dec. 28, FOX 13 reported.

As she tried to flee with her other child in their car, Taylor allegedly opened fire on the vehicle – shooting once at the bumper.

Prior to her escape, Taylor told his girlfriend “If you call 911, tell them to bring an ambulance,” according to an affidavit obtained by the station.

When police reported to the scene, they set up a perimeter around the home in the 6800 block of Chandeleur. The man was eventually apprehended by the Shelby County SWAT team.

Taylor was charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. He is being held in the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office on $7,500 bond.
