WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama says he thinks Sony Pictures Entertainment "made a mistake" by canceling release of "The Interview" movie.

Obama says we can't have a society in which "some dictator some place can start imposing censorship in the United States."

"We will respond proportionally and we will respond in a place and time and manner that we choose," Obama said at his year-end press conference.

Obama says the attack "caused a lot of damage."

The FBI announced earlier Friday that North Korea was responsible.
