Teens allegedly steal packages from doorsteps in Suffolk County: police

BAYPORT AND SAYVILLE (PIX11) — Two teenagers were arrested after allegedly stealing packages from doorsteps in Suffolk County.

Aaron Diaz, 18, and Alex Cintorrino, 16, were spotted in a vehicle that was described in several 911 calls reporting possible thefts of packages that were delivered to homes in Bayport and Sayville.

Officer Michael Ferrera pulled over the Chrysler Sebring, which was filled with packages, on Montauk Highway in Blue Point Tuesday around 2:15 p.m., officials said.

Both teens were charged with nine counts of petit larceny. Diaz was also charged with criminal possession of a weapon for having a switchblade at the time of the arrest.

They are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip Wednesday.
