Pair of thieves assault two men, steal jewelry from Midtown store: police

MIDTOWN (PIX11) — A pair of men allegedly assaulted two others while displaying a firearm before fleeing with jewelry, police said.

The suspects assaulted two men, 25 and 42, inside 17 West 45th Street in Midtown Dec. 1 around 11:40 a.m. During the attack, they displayed a firearm and then fled with an undetermined amount of jewelry. Both victims were taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the attackers.

The first suspect is described as a black male, who was seen wearing a green and gray jacket, gray hat and sunglasses. The second suspect is also a black male. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt with the word AKADEMIKS on the back.
