NJ one step closer to passing ‘Death with Dignity Act’

NEW JERSEY (PIX11) — The “Death With Dignity Act” is one step closer to being passed into law in New Jersey.

The gained a lot of attention after Brittany Maynard became the public face of the right-to-die movement.

The 29-year old moved to Oregon to end her life after being diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.

It is one of only five states to have a Death with Dignity Act.

Now, a New Jersey senate panel has approved the legislation.

The measure now heads to the full senate.
