NEW YORK (PIX11) — Americans wanting to enroll in their state’s health insurance exchange must sign up by Monday if they want coverage beginning with the new year.
Anyone who has health insurance through their state’s exchange is urged to review their plan options because they may have changed in price or coverage.
The deadline to sign up for new coverage or update an existing plan is 11:59 p.m. Monday. New Yorkers have until Dec. 20 to renew.
Changes can be made to existing health care plans during the Open Enrollment period, which lasts through Feb. 15, 2015.
That’s the final deadline for anyone still without health insurance to enroll in a plan or face a tax penalty.
