FARMINGDALE, Long Island (PIX11) — Police on Long Island are investigating a robbery at a Dunkin Donuts in Farmingdale Thursday.

Police say a man entered the restaurant chain at 575 Fulton St. around 7:46 p.m. when he demanded money from the cashier while displaying a knife. When the cashier didn’t immediately comply, the suspect walked behind the counter and demanded money again.

The victim opened the register and the suspect grabbed an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the store. He was described by the cashier as a white man in his 20s and tall with a medium build. He was wearing baggy black sweatpants, a dark-colored hoodie and dark sunglasses.

The suspect was last seen running northbound on Fulton Street. The victim was not injured.
