AUSTIN, Texas (PIX11) — A family in Texas has been syncing their Christmas lights show with popular songs since 2010, so it’s understandable that this year they chose one of the year’s most notable songs to attract viewers to their Austin home.

John Storms and his family chose “Let It Go” from the Disney mega-hit “Frozen” for this year’s light show. The song is a favorite among kids and will probably be overplayed until “Frozen 2”  is finally released.

The Storms family posts all their light shows on their YouTube page as well as a “how-to” segment.

The light display is energy efficient, and only costs $6 in electricity to run for the entire season, the family wrote.

Wondering, ‘What’s with the cactus?’

The Storms say it’s a tradition that started even before they concocted their genius light spectacle. They found the cactus on the side of the road.

The video has been viewed more than 1.7 million times in just eight days.
