ELMHURST, Queens (PIX11) — Police have released a surveillance photo of a person wanted for questioning in last month’s fatal shooting outside a nightclub in Queens.

Gunfire erupted in the early hours of Halloween outside Club Hive on Queens Boulevard near Barnwell Avenue.

Officers were already on the scene trying to break up a disorderly group inside the club when someone opened fire, NYPD said at the time.

Tamar Sermons, 20, was struck in the leg and neck, and was pronounced dead at a hospital, police said. Two other people were injured in the shooting.

"Everything was going well until the very end," said Julio Salazar, an employee at Club Hive, barely in business two months when the deadly shooting happened.

Police are looking to speak with a person of interest in the case. He's described as a black male in his 20s, last seen wearing a shirt with "99" printed on the front.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
