Two injured when cab slams into Upper East Side building

MANHATTAN (PIX11) — Two people have been hospitalized after a cab slammed into a building on the Upper East Side Monday, fire officials said.

It happened before noon near East 59th Street and Madison Avenue, according to the FDNY.  One person was transported to New York Hospital, the other to Bellevue — both with serious but non-life-threatening injuriees.

It’s still not known if both people were pedestrians or if one of the patients is the driver.
