Police seeking attempted Bronx rapist

KINGSBRIDGE, The Bronx (PIX11) -- Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a man who  attempted to rape a 42-year-old woman in the Bronx on Sept. 20.

The suspect allegedly grabbed the victim from behind as she was walking on East 197th Street and Claflin Avenue around 5:20 a.m. and pushed her between two cars before demanding that she follow him to another location.

The woman then screamed to a passerby for help, and the suspect fled the scene. He is described as a Hispanic male, about 5-foot-6 to 5-foot 7, with a thin build and mustache. He was caught on surveillance video.

The suspect was uninjured.
