Health aide allegedly abused elderly Queens man with Parkinson’s disease

REGO PARK, NY (PIX11) -- Gabrielle Murakhovsky is the granddaughter of 78-year-old Bentsion Murakhovsky.

She's horrified by the surveillance video of her grandfather at home allegedly being abused by a hired home health aide.

The camera is visible in the living room. Her grandfather is a stroke patient and paralyzed except for his right arm and right leg. He also has Parkinson's Disease.

The videos were taken April 2014. The aide worked at the home for seven days and the incidents happened on the last two days, according to Murakhovsky.

Gabrielle says they are planning on legal action. The agency couldn't be reached for comment.

According to the NYPD, Ihor Krutovskyi, the aide was charged with assault 2, strangulation, and endangering welfare of elderly person and harassment. He was arrested  on April 10, 2014.
