SANTA ANA, Calif. (PIX11) – A tired intruder who allegedly broke into a Southern California home, took off his clothes and climbed into bed with a sleeping woman was arrested after he left behind his driver’s license, police said.
Jonathan Phan, 29, allegedly broke into a home July 22 in the 2100 block of West Civic Center in Santa Ana, a city in Southern California’s Orange County, the Santa Ana Police Department said Monday.
Investigators said after Phan creeped into the home, he stripped naked, climbed into the resident’s bed and fell asleep. When the woman awoke, she saw Pham and screamed, police said.
Her yells woke up the stranger who was sleeping beside her, who then jumped out through the window. In his haste to get away, Phan left his wallet, pants and cellphone behind, police said.
Investigators identified the suspect using a driver’s license in the left-behind wallet.
Phan was arrested Aug. 15 on suspicion of residential burglary. He was being held on $50,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday, KTLA reports.
