Police seeking attempted robber of Bensonhurst Chase bank

BENSONHURST, Brooklyn (PIX11) — Police are asking for the public’s help to find a suspect who tried to rob a Chase bank branch in Brooklyn Saturday morning.

The suspect, concealed in a Yankees baseball cap, approached a teller of the bank located on 1901 86th St. in Bensonhurst around 10:44 a.m. and first verbally demanded money. She then passed a note to the teller that said, “Fill envelope with 100’s or I will shoot. You have 60 seconds.”

After the teller refused to hand over the cash, the attempted robber fled the bank. She is described as a black female, about 50 to 60 years old, 5-foot-9 and 160 pounds. She was last seen wearing a purple T-shirt, navy blue Yankees baseball cap and dark colored pants.
