Alec Baldwin’s assistant, housekeeper witness assault outside actor’s NYC home
NEW YORK (AP) — For once, Alec Baldwin wasn’t in trouble when police arrived.
Baldwin tells The New York Times (http://nyti.ms/1sLEjUI ) that when officers were called to his building in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village, people might have guessed the volatile actor had yet another run-in with the law.
Instead, Baldwin says his assistant and his cleaning woman saw a neighbor hitting a woman over the head with a frying pan.
After Tuesday’s incident, Jaime McKeown was arrested and charged with assault. Baldwin says that according to building scuttlebutt, McKeown was furious at his upstairs neighbor for making too much noise.
Baldwin’s recent brushes with the law included face-offs with paparazzi and riding his bicycle the wrong way.
McKeown’s lawyer did not immediately comment on the case.
