NYPD seeking thief who snatched purse right off Brooklyn woman’s arm

PROSPECT HEIGHTS, Brooklyn (PIX11) — The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in finding the thief who snatched a purse right off a women’s arm in Brooklyn.

The 35-year-old woman was entering her home on Washington Avenue in Prospect Heights on July 28 around 10:25 p.m. when the suspect approached her from behind and grabbed her purse. The victim tried to hold onto the bag, but the thief pulled it forcibly, causing her to fall into a pole and injure her arm.

The suspect then fled the location.
