WEST ISLIP, N.Y. (AP) — Police say a 24-year-old Queens man was killed in a fiery crash while speeding on a Long Island parkway.

Dexter Chung died early Sunday after his car went out of control and hit a divider on the Southern State Parkway in West Islip. The vehicle then went flying into an overpass wall, according to Newsday (http://nwsdy.li/1tQg44W).

New York State police say Chung was killed on impact, just before another car rear-ended his and caused it to burst into flames. A third car lost control and hit a guard rail.

Several people from the two other cars were treated for minor injuries.

Police say the single factor for the accident was speed on a straight and level road.
