Police seeking thief who stole gold necklace right off victim’s neck

FLUSHING, Queens (PIX11) — Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who is accused of stealing a gold necklace right off a 56-year-old woman’s neck.

On July 20 at about 1:42 p.m., the suspect approached the victim in front of a retail store at 41-43 Main Street in Flushing and asked her to model scarves. After they entered the store, the suspect placed several scarves on the victim’s neck, removing a gold necklace in the process.

The suspect then left the store, heading in an unknown direction. She is described as an Asian woman, about 40 years old and 5-foot-4 with black hair and a thin build.
