NEW YORK (PIX11) – The man accused of raping and killing a 21-year-old Long Island mother pleaded not guilty in Suffolk County court.

Dante Taylor, 19, was arraigned on charges of first degree murder Thursday in the death of Sarah Goode, whose body was discovered in a wooded area of Medford, Long Island.

Taylor was also indicted in the 2011 attempted rape of another woman in Suffolk County.

Goode disappeared in the early hours of June 7th after watching a movie at a friend’s home in Shirley.

Her partially-decomposed body was found a week later by a search party.  She had multiple stab wounds to her head, torso and legs, according to court documents.

She had also been raped, with evidence tying the bloody attack to Taylor.
