MASTIC, N.Y. (PIX11) — In June, a witness told police that a woman hurled a dog out of her car and drove away.
Monday, police arrested Josephine Rivera and charged her with misdemeanor abandonment.
On June 23rd, the witness described a woman with brown hair, a lip piercing, and an arm tattoo driving a white sedan. The witness noticed there were four children in backseat, none of them buckled in, and an elder child in front.
Reportedly, the woman drove into the Exxon gas station on Montauk Highway and threw the white toy poodle out of her car.
According to the witness, she then tried to drive away while the dog tried to get back in.
When the witness saw the woman throw the dog, he boxed her in with his car and “gave her a piece of his mind.”
