NEW YORK (PIX11) -- A family of eight is traveling across the country in an RV this summer, but they're not visiting national parks or exploring the open road during a typical vacation.

The Mursets are doing chores for strangers.

A father of six, Gregg Murset, founder of MyJobChart.com, wanted to teach his children the meaning of work ethic and how to manage their money. So he, his wife and their brood set out on their cross-country journey, chronicled through mileage and good deeds.

So far, they've visited 14 cities and completed 190 chores, which range from yard work to house cleaning, usually for families whose loved ones have special needs.

Dubbed Working Across America, the family's tour runs from June 29 to July 22. They're in New York City this week to help families in need.
