Gang of women on robbing spree in Washington Heights

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS (PIX11) — The NYPD is searching for a gang of women wanted for robbing people in upper Manhattan.

According to police, the young women are between the ages of 16 and 20-years-old and have robbed at least four people in Washington Heights in May.

Cops say the girls robbed a 64-year-old man on Fairview Ave., a 61-year-old woman on 182nd Street, a 25-year-old woman on 170th Street and a 27-year-old man on the corner of Pinehurst Avenue and 179th Street.

One of the woman asks the victims for directions, distracting them. Then, the other three surround the victim, stealing cash, credit cards and cellphones.

No one was injured during the robberies.
