NEW YORK (PIX11) — The five men wrongfully convicted of brutally raping and beating a jogger in Central Park in 1989 have settled their lawsuit with the city, according to the New York Times.

The men, dubbed the “Central Park Five,” settled their suit for $40 million.

The Supreme Court overturned their convictions in 2002 when DNA evidence proved the woman was raped by convicted rapist and murderer Matias Reyes.
