BOSTON (PIX11) – A Massachusetts mom is feeling much better after receiving an apology from JetBlue Airlines, after her toddler daughter was allegedly forced to urinate in her seat during an extended delay on the tarmac.

Last week, while traveling with her two young daughter aboard a JetBlue flight from New York to Boston, Jennifer Devereaux’s plane was delayed on the runway.

Devereaux said a flight attendant refused to let her 3-year-old daughter use the bathroom, and the girl ended up urinating on herself.

Now that the company has made amends, Devereaux said she’s happy JetBlue did the right thing.

“She said, ‘I am a mom, too. I understand what you going through and I am so sorry this happened to you,’” Devereaux told CNN Sunday, recalling a phone call from the airline. “I didn’t care about a voucher. That kind of stuff doesn’t matter to me. But I did want an apology for my family because we really felt we were mistreated and felt awful about.”

JetBlue said its employees will undergo sensitive training.

The airline offered the family a $50 credit and $5,000 to be given to a charity of their choice.
