YONKERS (PIX11) — A hefty reward is being offered to find a serial cat killer.

In April, 25 cats were found stuffed in plastic bags and hanging from a tree in Yonkers. Tests show they were bludgeoned to death.

PETA has put up a new billboard offering a $22,500 reward for tips leading to the killer.

“Both the SPCA of Westchester and the Yonkers Police Department are highly motivated to find those who are responsible for this heinous act,” said Ernie Lungaro, director of the SPCA’s HLE Unit. “All of us at the SPCA of Westchester are deeply appalled by this depraved act of animal cruelty.”

There are no suspects at this time.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Westchester SPCA.
