2 teens arrested, accused of trying to kidnap young girls in Queens

QUEENS (PIX11) — Police have arrested two men accused of trying to kidnap young girls in Queens Wednesday.

Joshua Wright, 17, and Andrew Ghulam, 16, are in police custody.

Cops say at about 4 p.m., an 11-year-old girl was walking home from school when a Wright and Ghulam began following her in dark green SUV near 111th Avenue and 208th Street in Queens Village.

The girls were able to run away from the teens unharmed.

One of the men exited the car wearing a black mask and attempted to talk to the girl but she was able to run away.

Shortly after, a 10-year-old and two 11-year-old girls were followed by the pair again near 113th Avenue and 196th Street in Jamaica. One of the men passed a gun to his masked accomplice as he exited the SUV. The girls ran and hid behind a parked car as the men drove by.

Both men have been charged with two counts of attempted unlawful imprisonment, endangering the welfare of a child, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment.
