BROOKLYN (PIX11) – A missing girl from New Jersey was found unharmed on an MTA subway train Thursday.
Missing since Tuesday when she never returned home from school, 13-year-old Iana Darlington’s parents called police in their hometown of Ridgefield, New Jersey.
On Thursday, a probation officer riding the subway in Brooklyn recognized Darlington after seeing her in ‘missing’ posters, police said. She was unharmed, and was taken to the 84th precinct where her mother met her.
Thursday afternoon, Darlington and her mother went to the prosecutor’s office where the young cheerleader was interviewed about the past three days.
Darlington does have family in New York City, her father lives in the Bronx. However, it’s unclear how she ended up in Brooklyn.
