Eight hurt in shelving collapse at Bronx 99-cent store

THE BRONX (PIX11) – Seven people were hurt Monday when shelves collapsed inside a Bronx store.

It happened at the 99 Cent Express store at 940 Morris Avenue near 163rd St.  After firefighters and EMS responded to calls of a partial building collapse, they found eight people injured inside the store.

Two suffered non life-threatening injuries, the extent of the other injuries is not yet clear.

The FDNY is currently on the scene and say that the structure of the store is intact, and that it was just the shelving that collapsed.
