VERNON, N.J. (PIX11) — Action Park, the New Jersey water park that became infamous after a series of accidents throughout the 80s, will be returning for the summer, according to NJ.com.
The park was open from 1978 to 1996 at the Mountain Creek Ski Resort in Vernon.
“IT’S NO APRIL FOOLS — THE ACTION IS BACK,” the ski lodge posted on their Facebook page.
Action Park was plagued by accidents and drownings and earned the nicknames of “Class Action Park,” “Accident Park,” and “Traction Park.”
Several of the original rides from the park will make their return for the summer.
