(PIX WEATHER CENTER)— There’s nothing like a raw, rainy, and brisk way to end the weekend.

Although round two isn’t the super soaker like yesterday’s heavy downpours, it’s enough to put a damper on things.

The rain should begin to taper off later tonight.

On the flip side of things March’s rainfall deficient went from nearly 2.5 inches to well under an inch of rain.

All that rainfall brought us to near normal amounts for the month.

Monday’s forecast comes in two parts.

First there still maybe a chance of a few morning showers and even a possibility of a mix north and west of the city.

Then the second half should be dryer, just in time for the Mets season opener.

As for the conditions at first pitch, expect mostly cloudy skies with temperatures in the upper 40s to near 50 degrees.

For the rest of the area things will begin to clear out during the afternoon and the highs for Monday should make it to the lower 50s.

Tuesday, April Fool’s Day, expect nothing but partly cloudy skies with temperatures making its way to the mid to upper 50s. No joke!
