Play ball! The 15th consecutive New York Mets baseball season on PIX11 swings into action on Saturday, April 12 when the Mets face the Miami Marlins for the first of 29 regular season broadcasts of Mets games airing in HD on PIX11. This season, PIX11 has increased the number of broadcast games to 29, which now includes 19 prime-time games.
Key games airing on PIX11 include: the May 12 and 13 Subway Series games when the Mets face the New York Yankees in Derek Jeter’s final season, The National League Champion Cardinals on April 21, and the National League East Division Champion Atlanta Braves on April 19 and 20, July 8 and August 27th.
“As the local broadcast home of the New York Mets, we are excited to announce this season we have expanded our partnership to bring more games to PIX11’s Mets fans. PIX11 will be airing 29 regular season games with 19 in primetime,” said Rich Graziano, President/GM, PIX11.
All games will be produced by SNY, with both home and away games available in HD. In addition, all New York Mets games broadcast on PIX will include SAP and will be Closed-Captioned.
SNY’s Ron Darling, Keith Hernandez, Gary Cohen and Kevin Burkhardt – widely recognized as the best broadcast team in all of baseball – will cover the action all-season long on PIX11. Emmy Award-winning producer and director Gregg Picker and Bill Webb will return in their roles for all SNY-produced Mets telecasts.
