THE BRONX (NEW YORK) — Dubbed the “suitcase bandits,” there is now a $5,000 reward being offered for information leading to the arrests of two men who brutally beat a livery cab driver in the Bronx.

Cops say on Jan. 22, driver Luis Molina picked up the two men who were posing as travelers.

When they got to their destination, they asked the driver to get their bad from the trunk, then announced it was actually a robbery.

Molina sat down with the PIX11 Morning News, alongside Fernando Matero of the New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers to discuss the safety risks cab drivers face.
